Terms and Conditions for The Dog House Wellingborough

 

These terms and conditions apply to all services provided by The Dog House Grooming Salon. By booking an appointment or using our services, you agree to the following terms.

1. Appointments

- All grooming sessions are by appointment only. 

- We kindly ask that you arrive on time. If you are more than 10 minutes late, we may need to reschedule your appointment or charge a late fee.

- Cancellations should be made at least 48 hours in advance. Failure to cancel within this period may result in a cancellation fee.

2. Pet Safety

- The safety and well-being of your dog are our top priority. We use professional techniques and equipment to ensure a stress-free grooming experience.

- All pets must be up-to-date with vaccinations (including flea and tick prevention). Proof of vaccinations may be required.

- We reserve the right to refuse service if your dog shows signs of illness, aggression, or severe matting that could risk injury or stress during grooming.

3. Grooming Process

- The condition of your pet's coat will determine the grooming time and style. Severely matted coats may require additional charges or specific grooming methods (such as shaving).

- We will always prioritise the safety of your dog, even if that means altering the requested grooming style due to the condition of the dog’s coat or behaviour.

  4. Aggressive or Anxious Dogs

- If your dog shows signs of aggression or extreme anxiety, we may stop the grooming session for the safety of your dog and our staff. In such cases, you will be charged for the time spent, and you may be referred to a specialist groomer.

  5. Pricing

- Our pricing is based on the size, breed, coat condition, and temperament of your dog. Additional charges may apply for matted coats, difficult behaviour, or special requests.

- Prices may vary, and we will always confirm the cost before the grooming session begins.

 6. Health and Medical Conditions

- It is your responsibility to inform us of any known medical conditions, allergies, or sensitivities your dog may have. We cannot be held responsible for any reactions or issues arising from undisclosed conditions.

- While we take great care, we are not liable for any pre-existing medical conditions that may be aggravated by grooming.

7. Fleas and Parasites

- If your dog is found to have fleas or ticks, a flea treatment will be applied at an additional charge. 

- We reserve the right to refuse service if your dog has a severe infestation of parasites.

  8. Accidents

- While we take every precaution to ensure a safe grooming experience, accidents may occasionally occur. In the event of an accident, we will inform you immediately and provide appropriate care or advice.

  9. Owner's Responsibility

- The owner agrees to provide accurate information regarding their pet and understands that their dog’s behaviour may affect the grooming process.

- You are responsible for ensuring that your dog is fit, healthy, and suitable for grooming. If you fail to disclose any health issues or behavioural problems, The Dog House Grooming Salon is not liable for any incidents that may arise.

10. Photos and Social Media

- We may take photos of your dog before and after grooming for use on our website and social media. If you do not wish for your dog’s image to be used, please inform us in advance.

11. Collection

- Please collect your dog promptly after grooming. If you are more than 30 minutes late for collection, an additional charge may apply.

12. Payments

- Full payment is required upon collection of your dog. We accept payment methods such as cash, card. 

- Non-payment will result in refusal of future bookings until the balance is settled.

13. Complaints

- If you are not satisfied with any aspect of the service, please notify us within 48 hours. We will do our best to address and resolve any issues.

  14. Liability

- The Dog House Grooming Salon is not responsible for any loss, injury, or illness that arises as a result of grooming, except in cases of negligence on our part.

  

Changes to Terms and Conditions

- We reserve the right to update or modify these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website or made available at the salon.
